Q: Why does it take 4-16 weeks to receive the first issue?
A: All subscriptions are shipped directly from the publishers. There are over 2,000 magazine publishers in the United States. Depending on their monthly circulation, some publishers send out to pre-print their labels (for their upcoming issues) one to three months ahead of time. Therefore, even thought the publishers get your subscription the same week that the order is processed through NSP, you will not be in line to receive your first issue until two to four months later. In general, the magazines that are published more frequently (e.i., every week or bi-weekly) will more than likely ship out their first issue within the earlier part of the 4-16 week window. Likewise, any magazine that is only published 4 times a year, will ship out their first issue within the later part of the 4-16 week window.
Q: How can you sell the Magazines and Newspaper subscriptions for such low prices?
A: NSP is an independent subscription agent with more than 1,400 publications available for subscription. That allows us to consolidate costs, which we then turn over to you in big savings.
Q: Why don't you offer Two or Three year subscriptions?
A: NSP does not offer two or three year subscriptions because NSP wants you to take advantage of our specials every year.
Q: How can I change my address during my subscriptions if I move?
A: Do not send change of address requests to NSP. You must send all change of address requests directly to the publisher. Locate the publisher's address (which is usually listed within the first few pages of each magazine). When submitting your change of address to the publisher, make sure to also send them the address label that is attached on the front cover of that particular magazine.
Q: If I don't like my magazine I'm receiving, can I switch it for another?
A: There will be NO substitutions or changes of any kind once the order has been processed.
Q: If I'm in prison and the institution rejects my magazine, can I get a refund?
A: My prisons do not allow inmates to recieve sexually explicit materials and other publications (e.g., Hustler, Playboy, Handguns, High Times, etc). It is your responsibility to inquire with your institution and find out which publications are permitted. There will be no cancellations, substitutions, or changes once your order has been processed.
Q: How can I request a NSP price catalog?
A: Just send three (3) new first class stamps to NSP.
Q: How can I get a description of all the magazines in your catalog?
A: Just order our 36-page "Magazine Description Catalog" (item #2208) listed on page 6 of our catalog, for as little as $6.00. The catalog is updated once a year, and contains over 1,400 magazine descriptions and over 140 color images of magazine covers. It does NOT count toward any of our specials.
